[Movies] Are We Going To Get Another Jurassic Park Trilogy?

Director Joe Johnson discusses the possibility…
Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnson recently spoke with Ain't It Cool about the future of the franchise. Here are the highlights…
On The Often Rumored Fourth Film: "There is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it's nothing like the first three. It sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved."
On Another Trilogy Of Films: "Why would anybody go back to that island? It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go, but it would take it off in a whole other trilogy basically, but when it gets to that level it's sort of about studios and Steven [Spielberg's] thing and who knows. I think we are at that point where we are due for another one if we are going to do it."
I loved the first 2 films, but this goes to show that Hollywood is far from an original idea. To bring back the director of the worst of the 3 is NOT good.

They should just reboot the franchise at this point.

I think money hungry Ingen execs. would've been a better reason to go back to the island than some dipshit and his kid who managed to accidentally/coincidentally parachute onto the island so his family and Sam Neil had to save them. Jesus...keep Joe Johnston as far the fuck away from another JP as possible.

reboot the franchise comment was silly and im sure it was ajoke i hope. this is one of those movies that can never be remade like jaws or e.t. movies like that its just impossible to top them so just let them be but if there going to just make more sequals then do it

I'm more concerned with how they get to the island. We've had helicopter, boat, plane and parasail: what's next, a train? A hovercraft? Some sort of gyroscope? Gotta think of something original!

Even though if you may be joking here, this idea is interesting... T-Rex squares off against Alien - imagine that epic battle taking place.

Good goshamighty, you fellers are RIGHT! Why, oh, WHY can't movies be like they ding-dong-diddley used to? Back in the days of Tarzan, Hopalong Cassidy, the Thin Man, Sherlock Holmes, Frankenstein, Andy Hardy, Blondie, Dick Tracy, Godzilla and James Bond the studios NEVER resorted to using concepts and characters over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again! There has never been like this current trend in the entire cockadoodie HISTORY of movies and it needs to stop NOW, consarn it!

"Dinosaurs vs aliens!!!"
In the end, it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God’s creatures... the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
